Kazakhstan’s Principal Museum Starts Gift to the National Museum Activity

March 18, 2015 the National Museum of Kazakhstan promoted Gift to the National Museum action. At the press conference there were Berdibek Saparbaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, as well as prominent figures of the country, collectors, descendants of celebrities, athletes and individuals: Bahytzhan Azerbaev, Kenen Azerbaev’s son, ZhaksylykUshkempirov, the Olympic champion, Yerlan Karin, a known political scientist, Donnedil Kazhymov, a chairman of the Kadyrov Myrzaliev Foundation, and the Olympic champions Serik Sapiev,Yuri Melnichenko and others.

 

Prime Minister Berdibek SAPARBAEV stressed the role of museums to society and the individual, their great educational and educational value.

“I think of such events as of being great importance, especially for today's youth and future generations. The most important thing is to lay the foundation, the foundation of a future independent state of Kazakhstan. I thank all the famous people of our Olympic champions, children and grandchildren of those noble people who have done a lot in order to have then formed the Kazakh state. I am confident that this action will be continued, it will not take place only here in the capital, but also in our regional centers”, said B. Saparbayev.

In his speech, the director of the National Museum Darkhan MYNBAY said that the action is carried out in order to draw public attention to the problem of preservation of historical and cultural heritage of the nation.

“The National Museum is becoming the centre for historical and cultural values. Today, I am grateful to say about the selfless people who, passing family rarities from generation to generation, have come to a decision to present them to the museum, which indicates their confidence in the state institution, respect for history and, of course, the high patriotic consciousness. All of these valuable things will add to the value of the National Museum funds. I think that the understanding and support of the Kazakh people there will be no problem with the exhibits”, said D. Mynbay.

The action was supported by workers of culture and science, sports, collectors, relatives and descendants of the country’s historical figures such as Jumabek Taschenev, Qasym Qaĭsenov, Kenen Azerbaev, Zhumeken Nazhimedenov, Shamshi Kaldayakov, Kadir Myrzaliev, Evgeniy Sidorkin and Gulfairus Ismailova. Among the famous athletes who gave their belongings to the museum are Serik Sapiev, Olga Shishigina, Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, Vladimir Smirnov and Yuri Melnichenko.

Yerlan Karin’s collection handed to the museum consists of arrowheads of the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Middle Ages. Unique are the tips from the Saki Huns times.

In addition, the museum has been replenished with the national costumes of fraternal peoples living in Kazakhstan. They were granted by the Belarusian Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan Anatoly Nichkasov, the Chechen-Ingush cultural center Vainakh, the Kurdish cultural center and the assistant to the deputy of the Senate K. Erzhanov.

At the end of the year as a result of this event the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will set up an exhibition in order to present to the public the gathered artifacts.
