- P. Tchaikovsky’s dream was for his music to spread, for people to find solace and comfort in it. I believe that his dream came true, because his music brings those very feelings of comfort and reassurance as well as faith and hope. We invite all listeners to this concert to enjoy greatest music masterpieces, – said musicologist Marzhan Zhakenova.

We would like to emphasize that the great composer was one of the conductors to open Carnegie Hall in 1891.

In the second part, the orchestra will perform an unsurpassed masterpiece of symphonic music – Symphony № 6 in B Minor, Op. 74, «Pathétique». It was his last symphony and, according to the composer, «the best and most sincere». The author himself conducted its premiere. Nine days later P. Tchaikovsky died… The next time the symphony was played with great success at a concert dedicated to the composer, starting its triumphal march around the world.

- P. Tchaikovsky could paint canvases comparable in scale and depth to the paintings of Rembrandt and Raphael by instrumental means alone. His symphony «Pathétique» is a sincere, deeply personal story about the life and death of a naked, wounded soul of the composer, – said maestro Abzal Mukhitdinov.

The concert starts at 19.00; the ticket prices will range from 500 tenge.
