Zhastykaqash is a wooden headboard with triangular side panels and a vertical wall decorated with carvings, paintings and carved balusters. In the example of the headrest shown here, the double-sided floral motif consisting of relief intertwining branches and floral rosettes – gul oyu – is particularly interesting.
