The Kazakh women’s camisole is an element of the traditional women’s costume. The garment is made of cherry-coloured velvet, which gives it an elegant and ceremonial character. The camisole has a straight, slightly loose cut and a front opening, characteristic of this type of garment.A distinctive feature of the decorative design is the braiding trim. The front panels, collar and sleeve edges are adorned with braiding, creating a clear ornamental frame that emphasises the camisole’s silhouette. The ornamentation on the braiding features geometric and floral motifs, forming a rhythmic decorative pattern. The composition of the decoration is symmetrical in relation to the centre line of the garment. Two vertical strips of braid run along the front panels, visually elongating the silhouette and enhancing the decorative expressiveness of the costume. Additional trim is present on the sleeves and along the lower edge, lending the garment a sense of completeness.
