The Venetian Regatta in “Astana Opera”

The elusiveness of the rocking boats, the sounds of the splashes of water from the oars of the dexterous gondoliers, fiery melodies of Italian songs will be presented to the audience at the concert «The Venetian Regatta» from the series «Exploring Countries and Continents» in the Astana Opera House on March 13.

The Astana Opera House opera soloists and symphony orchestra artists will perform this evening: the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigul Niyazova (soprano), Saltanat Muratbekova (mezzo-soprano), the concertmaster of the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra Kalamkas Jumabayeva, string quintet consisting of: Valery Moiseyenko, Elvira Mukhambetova (violin), Zhanar  Akhatova (viola), Kurvanjan Akhatov (cello), Anatoly Yakushkin (double bass), as well as Stanislav Umarov (clarinet), Zhibek Sapargaliyeva (flute), and Zhanibek Saparov (guitar).

Popular chamber and vocal compositions, opera arias and duets of Italian composers, such as Gioacchino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, and Antonio Vivaldi are in the program.
