The school year has ended, and it is now time for summer holidays. After looking at the posters of Astana Opera, the question of how to spend them no longer stands. The opera house’s creative team has included interactive concert programs, symphonic fairytale and many exciting events in children’s subscription «Enjoying the Holidays».

We would like to note that ticket prices are very democratic. The price of the subscription «Enjoying the Holidays», which includes four concerts, is 1000 tenge. If the viewer has chosen to purchase a ticket for only one concert, the cost of the ticket will be 500 tenge.

The program of the subscription gives the children a holistic view of the composition of a symphony orchestra, the structure and history of musical instruments, as well as the types of academic vocals. The concerts are scheduled according to the logical connection between them: «Friendly Family of String Instruments» on June 2, «Friendly Family of Wind and Percussion Instruments» on June 3, the symphonic fairytale «Peter and the Wolf» by S. Prokofiev on June 8 gives conclusion to the music material, and on June 9 the young listeners are offered the concert «Enjoying the Holidays» (Diversity of Musical Voices).

- The concerts are designed in the form of games, with crosswords, riddles, as well as cartoon snippets. If the first three concerts are dedicated to the instruments of symphonic orchestra, the subscription’s final concert «Diversity of Musical Voices» will introduce children to the vocal palette, which will be presented by the Astana Opera soloists. The artists will perform brilliant short arias from world famous classical operas, romances and songs. We want to instill in children a love of music art, so, eventually, visiting the opera house will become a tradition for them, – said the musicologist of the Astana Opera House Saule Mauletova.

The concerts are designed for children of primary and secondary school age. Their goal is the development of young listeners’ cognitive and creative skills.

The hosts of the concerts are musicologists Saule Mauletova and Tolegen Nazarbekov.

All concerts are held in Kazakh (12.30) and Russian (11.00).
