In Astana, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a republican meeting "Til - tatulyқ tiregi", attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Berdybek Saparbayev.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, agency staff, Parliament deputies, heads of regional language development departments of state bodies, national companies, regional local government offices, regional centers for teaching the state language, representatives of public associations, non-governmental organizations, the media, and educational institutions.
The event discussed the trinity of languages, the state program "Development and functioning of languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020" as well as achievements and challenges in the work of the language training centers in the country.
The discussion was attended by Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Nurlan Orazalin, Majilis deputies Zuhra Sayapova and Orazgul Asangazykyzy, deputy chairman of Kazakhstan People's Assembly Anatoly Bashmakov, president of the republican newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan" Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, Honored RK figure Tatyana Burmistrova and others.
- Language policy in our country is implemented according to the Law "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the state program of development and functioning of languages, - said B.Saparbayev. - Under the state program the children's books, dictionaries, training manuals, works of world classics and encyclopedic reference books have been published. State support is provided for development of Kazakh and other languages of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
Culture and Sport Minister A. Mukhamediuly noted that the Ministry holds great job in this area. He talked about the improvement of legislation relating to activities of the state language training centers, documentation in the national language, onomastics issues, volume of distribution of information in the state language, and development and management of terminological fund.
The republican meeting resulted in adoption of a resolution to continue developing the language policies in Kazakhstan.
