August 10, 2015 The presentation of documentary “550 anniversary of the Kazakh khanate” was held in «Tribeca Film» Robert De Niro’s studio in New York.

The documentary is created on the base of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s book “In the stream of history”. This film has been made by Ministry of Culture and Sport of RK order.

The documentary project “550 anniversary of the Kazakh khanate” is devoted to the history of Kazakh khanate background and formation. The project consists of 10 series and every series tells about certain stage of Kazakh people’s history, beginning with the origin of Kazakh khanate in 1465 and to the Independent Kazakhstan now. The film brightly shows and discovers the historical and geopolitical role of Kazakhstan in the world.

This film is presented under the realization of national plan “100 concrete steps”. The results of scientific researches of Kazakhstani scientists, who worked abroad, and international experts and historians are reflected in the film.

The film was presented in English. Welcome speech was held by Raushan Yesbulatova, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York; A.Khazbulatov, General Director of Kazakh Research Institute of Culture of Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the executive film producer; Mario DeKudrey, famous American film director; Alla Verlotski, a founder and president of «Seagull Films» studio; Peter Kaufman, a president and executive producer of “Intelligent Television & The Intelligent Channel” studio; Anatoly Ryvkin, a founder and president of films promotion agency; Professor of Columbian University Rafis Abazov; and representatives of the US State Department, independent experts and scientists.

The film was highly interested by American audience; it contributes to the cultural image of Kazakhstan abroad. The participation of the American film industry prominent representatives will help to establish the potential partnerships.
